Hi,
For me the caughts I´ll always remember:
Zygaena ignifera,three years ago I discoverd a wonderful new location for this day-flying moth only 1 hour by car from my home.
Graellsia isabelae flying in the lights of the very small town where I was born in Andalusia.

I have collected Apatura iris and Apatura ilia in Huesca in the last 2 years in the same location in July,with Limenitis camilla and Limenitis reducta.Parnassius mnemosyne only flies in the Pirineos,about Charaxes jasius is very common in Sierra de Cazorla(Jaen Andalusia) in August and here in Castellon I have seen flying since April till October(I have seen 1 specimen last week flying).Aporia crataegi is common in some places here in June.

I think there are not ssp of L.reducta described from Spain.

I have collected this year Limenitis reducta in Granada and I have specimens from the north of Spain and from Castellon(near the sea and in the mountains)It´s widespread but not too much common here.All the specimens collected with permits.In Spain I t is easier the hunt of wolf than to collect insects

Thanks Thanos,looking at the top of the photograph the butterflies seemed to me Erebia sp.

Hello,the best way to obtain a permit is that a spanish organization makes the transits with the Canarian goverment,It´s necesary that you send your solicitude at least with two months of advance.

Here in Spain Anthocharis euphenoides is one of the most common butterflies and one of the first species that begin to fly in early spring

Hello,ssp. ceballosi was described from Sierra de Cazorla(Jaen,Andalusia) in the southern part of Spain,probably the oldest population of this moth in Spain

And yes,you have to send the list of the butteflies and moths that you have collected last year,my association uses this list to make a checklist of butterflies from Spain(if you don´t send the list they don´t make your permits for another year.
