Pepsis are amazing. They're so bad many insects mimic them. Grateful for pepsis!

On a bug/mineral adventure. Wrote you a bunch but phone erased everything. Arg ..basically these bees are found in major marijuana grower territory highly doubt much of the habitat is fully explored. In the book tigerland there is a chapter about a similar situation except involves big game animals. Great book by the way. If you've ever gone collecting up there you may understand. Fence after fence with crazy long haired people in big trucks. Strongly believe there's a possibility of finding this species again. I enjoy the hunt always meet interesting people and find really neat insects. Always worth the adventure.

Looking for a travel partner to visit AZ asap. Living in SoCal great collecting here. Have a large truck so thinking of renting a vehicle or ridesharing. Have supplies, extra net, extra kill jars, money, gems, detailed information. My focuses are Asilids and Cicindela. Willing to work out a route that would benefit both of us. Also will be looking for Pepsis,Scarabs,Longhorns, leps. Currently working as a gem miner its a physical job so we can hunt all day and night. Archilestris are on the top of my list but Willcox Playa also is on that list. PM me at gyna11@hotmail.com. Really excited to meet other enthusiasts. Who knows what we will find? Team work could be very helpful. Thanks Ian
Posted this in the classified under travel. Well not much of a lep guy, my main attachment are to robber flies, makes me doubt there would be any squabbling over specimens?. Want this to be fun and successful. My last experience with another collector was a hoot. Have been waiting 6mths excited.

Do my wasps almost the same way. Cotton under the antennae and abdomen. Lots of pins. Really nice to have a variety of forceps to work with. Large wasps defiently have to be one of the best insects to have displayed. For smaller species have developed a method using a fluffy tolietpaper roll which sounds crazy but has worked out great. You just make slight indentations in the top of the roll, pin the same as you would a spreading board. Fluffy is gentle on the specimens and you can fit a bunch on one roll.
