Have a strong feeling these bees are still around. Looking for information or leads. The area were they're found is rough, and some of it well protected. Don't forget they just refound the Cali wolverine, but not bigfoot yet.

This sounds impossible. There were no records of them since 2006, right?

On a bug/mineral adventure. Wrote you a bunch but phone erased everything. Arg ..basically these bees are found in major marijuana grower territory highly doubt much of the habitat is fully explored. In the book tigerland there is a chapter about a similar situation except involves big game animals. Great book by the way. If you've ever gone collecting up there you may understand. Fence after fence with crazy long haired people in big trucks. Strongly believe there's a possibility of finding this species again. I enjoy the hunt always meet interesting people and find really neat insects. Always worth the adventure.
