Great loss for entomology ! I met him several times and it was always a pleasure to talk to him. A very generous Man ... At my first visit to his house for a pleasant dinner, he invited for me Lucien Berger formerly Director of the MRAC of Tervuren. The next day he introduced me to Maurice Fontaine who left us some years ago ... Great souvenirs to me ! A+, Michel

Hi Stringer,
It's always unpleasant to receive a negative feedback on Ebay, but I do not find much interest in reading your post ?

Claude, I do not know what business you are in, but when you are on the sales side, any potential adress is good to take, and now with internet and emails, I often do the same as the people you complain about. Me too, I don't like to receive so many unwanted mails, but it is so simple to block them ... On the contrary, if someone show up to offer you the insect you have been dreaming for a long time, I am pretty sure that you will not blame him A+, Michel

Olivier, Next time you should bet 150 USD with your sniper, and you would have won it for 113 USD ? Unless He was a bit more ambitious ... Au plaisir, Michel
P.S. I do agree with Barry saying that snipers increase the final price rather than the contrary !

I hate those auction snippers !!! They have killed all the pleasure on Ebay... + it is a bad thing for sellers as it decreases final prices. Ebay should ban it as it also decrease their revenues. But I fully understand those who use it as it is very efficient ! Personnally, my pleasure on Ebay is to win the item I have noticed amongst the millions of items offered for sale ! The best way to get it is a sniper ... I started with ebay in 2003, and at that time snipers did exist, but were difficult to find ! I only got mine since 2005, and then I could almost get anything I was looking for, but obviously you have to put your best offer ... I think that what killed the fun on ebay is the "buy it now" option, and the fact that the website is changing to often with the categories of items being moved all the time, and the search engines that have been changed recently. I use to buy nearly 10 items a day at one time, and now it is less than 10 per month ... A+, Michel

Yes it is a nice book, but the problem with Vadim is that He does not know how to pack books strongly enough in order to arrive in good conditions ... I placed 2 orders with him and both times, booked arrived dammaged !!!

Thierry,
I only know that the stuffed mammals and birds are coming from a french taxidermist, and that parts of the butterflies are coming from a german collector ...
