Anyone with photos of their 2015 Catocala haul for the season? Specimen or box pics?

Oh please, do not tread there. If Light Traps became illegal I would become seriously ugly like many of you. I need my beauty sleep, a minimum of eight hours every night. With out my beauty sleep, I would forced to take all those pills to reduce skin wrinkles, grow hair, and correct my hair color, keep me smiling and something to smell like Rosie O'Donald.
Then there is my love life. I know most of you and not a one of you could satisfy all those women.
Then there is the financial loss. With Leptraps gone, the stock markets would crash, banks would close and the foundation of life could falter and world wide chaos will erupted. Riots in the streets, world war 3 may follow.
Worst of all, I would be force to find my Light Rig and go collect moths alone. Oh whoa is me.
There is one up side, while out in the woods with my lights, sheet and jar, I could break wind at night without enduring the wrath of my wife. But like a tree falling in the forest, no one would hear me.
Oh whoa is me.

I'm sitting here stunned...you really are the leptraps I keep hearing about! At first I suspected some amatuer imposter, surely no one of your stature would have the time to mingle with the general public. It must be time consuming running a Fortune 500 insect corporation, but for such a talented man, I should have expected no less. Is it true you once swam across an active volcanos caldera to retrieve a light trap...what am i saying, of course it is! I only ask one thing-if we ever cross paths, please have mercy and politely turn down my girlfriends lecherous advances...she is naive and doesn't realize what she would be getting herself into

Rayrard -- Here's my Catocala from this year. I admit I didn't have quite as much time focused on Catocala as I'd planned, but I was happy to get a few new to me! I was delighted about the capture of the apparent C. briseis 3rd from the top in the middle. These are a combination of Catocala from where I collect the most -- Northeastern Wisconsin and Boulder, Colorado when I'm not working. I've yet to really organize the box... organizing boxes and finishing emptying my freezer will be a winter pursuit. Also, I've been trying to identify the two on the bottom right -- not a great picture, but I think they might be C crataegi (Northeastern Wisconsin, Vilas County). Lastly, a plug for Leptraps. I purchased a bait trap from him this year and it worked great! Using the Leptrap bait trap, my suburban backyard deck in Colorado even produced a decent batch of C. amatrix and a few others. Great stuff BugBuy3! What county do you collect in mostly? Did you catch most of them in August? I live in Rock County, so 90% is from there. 1 unijuga is from Douglas County and a couple of others are from Iron County. I started the first of July. Mira and coccinata were the first to arrive. I collected all the way through the second week of September. I would have had some more relicta, but the wife and I went to Hawaii for two weeks. (I'm not complaining)

Hopefully I can work some bait traps more intensively next season. Also I can afford a mercury vapor setup which will allow better collecting nights.
No Catocala since September and I was unable to deploy a bucket trap for the past warm spell. Hopefully I can get the bait trap running for winter noctuids.

I'm going to deploy more bait traps next year as well. I'm also going to change my light sheet from fluorescent UV to a MV bulb. Will see how it pans out.

I only photographed them this year. Some of my pictures are here: www.flickr.com/photos/126083867@N02/albums/72157648349037074i probably missed a few cats because i stopped a bit earlier this year than i was going to because i decided to go striper fishing. Next year i'll start collecting but i'm still not sure what all i need. I'm also going to increase my amount of traps from 2 to 4 and put them in areas i wanted to try this year but wasn't able to. Going to try for that elusive marmorata (someone caught one this year on the western shore). I'm going to deploy more bait traps next year as well. I'm also going to change my light sheet from fluorescent UV to a MV bulb. Will see how it pans out. You can get a clear (don't get coated) self-ballasted 160W MV bulb from bulborama for $25, definitely worth it. Leptraps also sells self-ballasted mv bulbs, they're also higher wattage (250 & 500) but they're much more expensive

I will be going with the 160 watt bulb. My electric company loves me enough already!
