Does anyone know what the bug in my profile pic is? Several people I've showed the image to said it was a tick, but others said that it has 6 legs and two antenna, so its something else. I live in Washington DC, in a old house that was gutted and remodeled in the past 5 years.
I've found 4 of these bugs inside my house in the past week.

It's a Spider Beetle (Gibbium aequinoctiale) - bugguide.net/node/view/600242They're harmless, and often found in houses. |
