Hi Deeder,
Not a bedbug, but definitely an immature cockroach. It looks to be an early instar, so you may have an infestation just getting started. Taking action now to stop it would be wise, before they really get established. There's lots of info online on how to control them without going straight to an expensive pest control company. Try some home remedies first to see if you can nip them in the bud.
One method I've heard is good for small infestations is to sprinkle tiny amounts of boric acid powder in the areas where you're seeing them. They track through it, it sticks to them, they groom it off, and it remains like sand in their gut, killing them. They track it back to areas where other roaches pick it up as well. You can mix it with tiny amounts of flour or sugar to help attract them to it.

I should also talk to my landlord since this is an apartment building. I noticed that the seal isn't all the way around my door at the top. I need to fix that! Also not sure if it came in from office equipment. I don't believe they had a roach incident. I should try to find out. It's Montreal and snow on the ground now, so not sure how that would work. I have some work to do! I'm going to clean and gut everything and do some treatment. Thank you for your suggestions! Cheers, Deeder |

Hi Deeder,
Since these are immatures and you said you brought the stuff home from work some months ago, I would suspect that there is no connection there. You would have likely seen them sooner. However - living in an apartment complex always has its potential risks - you may maintain a pest-free unit, but who knows what is in the units around you. If they seem to worsen, definitely talk to the landlord - I would assume it's his/her responsibility for pest control on the premises.
It's also possible that they came in hidden in a delivery box, or from bags from a supermarket, or even in a laundry load moved from a communal laundry room back to your unit.
Hope you can eradicate them easily...
