Hi all,
I'll be in Provence in early July. If some of you need some specific species for your research, please let me know and I will try to help you.

I am mainly a Pieridae collector, but if some people need a local species from another family, I can catch some for them.
Examples : Adam needed some P. polytes from Toraja area in Sulawesi for his research. Thus I pay attention to that specific species during my trip there. Philadelphia university also asked me to catch some Callidulidae in Thailand and Biak for them... and so on.

Ornithoptera goliath from France? Would be amazing, really :-) If it is Provence in France, I would be looking for the Lucanus tetraodon provincialis, but not even sure if it naturally occurs there. Would be much obliged if you could look for Lucanidae ;-) Cheers ben

Hi. I am lucky to live in one of the areas unaffected by the storms down here in North Carolina. I have been seeing, so far, scores of Calosoma Wilcoxi. I have also found a Gnorimella Maculosa, said to be scarce this far south in the U.S.. Also I've seen three beautiful metallic green tiger beetles (nabbed one; the other two got away) and a few G. blackburni and splendidus. The nights are still very cool here. I can't wait for another month or so for the season to really kick in. I wish I could provide photos, but most of these are pretty well known to beetle enthusiasts anyhow. I'm waiting for the scaphinotus to appear, as well as the large cerambycids, Tityuses and elephuses but that'll be more towards June, with the exception of the scaphs. Hope this won't be a bad year for them. All these wilcoxis are definitely unusual around here this early. cheers, arrowhead

Hi Olivier,
Which species are you looking for in Provence ?
I will collect in Spain in July, particularly Coleoptera, but if you are looking for particular species, let me know !

Beetles of Israel for sale. Inexpensive. Ptashkovsky@rambler.ru Indeed, I am making a deal with him and he seems to be really nice (don't ask for payment before having caught beetles, sending fotos of the beetles he caught, etc...). Stéphane
