Wow... I'm totally speechless.
By the way, how expensive would be a regular sized X. heros specimen?

As far I know, only once had been offered on ebay, some years ago,by a Japanese seller, one small-sized male of X.heros of around 12-13cm for about 13.000 usd if I remember well(and this amount some years ago as I said) and it ended unsold. So,imagine the price of a 16cm specimen today .

There are much more rarer Lucanidae like Homolamprima crenulata from OZ that only under 5 specimens were ever found and no one live has found it yet. Not even the Japanese has any of this sp in Japan. I know there're already a few X.heros in Japan.
I know all the Japs want it but only a dream to own one.

3-4 years ears ago, a well known japanese dealer put on his site dendezia renieri (A2 !!!!) for around 75 000 €. It disapperaed from the site before the end time and then I don't know what happened with it ! At this itime it was really uncommon in collection .... now I have a series in collection (as many other lucanid collectors !!) !

Ohhh!!!! Trust me the area where Homolamprima crenulata came from has cleared a long time ago and so many people has looked but no one has found it all these years. I will not waste any more time looking for it.

Perhaps it was purchased by David Rockefeller. I hear he collects insects. And he has no shortage of money to do it with.

Cheers
