Nevertheless, I think you should at least think about before claiming things in a forum and making yourself ridiculous.
I am still shocked by the reaction to my first thread after several years. Of course everyone thinks his own part. I received a lot of funny mails, thanks for.
For example, to talk about a butterfly industry with this nickname. INDUSTRY... no comments needed. And how wrote about the organizer is may a *little* far away from this planet.
Let's say a child or teenager is interested in insects and posted something here. May wrong, may very wrong. It doesn t matter. There aren't that many young people who are interested in. And then there is a reaction like that. A young person has no idea how to react to it. For me it's totally shameful and embarrassing. Finally sad at all.
It's your decision to just accept that... Is there any other good US forum like that? May with less collecting and more breeding butterflies and insects?

There are no stupid questions. Just stupid answers. I've answered some of the most clueless questions from buyers when I sell livestock on Ebay, which I do when I can to spread things around, and reach different people that might not know about Insectnet.
Then there is a language issue at times with persons in different countries, amazingly enough, not everyone speaks English fluently.
There may be other forums, probably on platforms like that one...that everyone assumes we all use- Face...something.
Also amazingly, all of us were beginners at one time, and I don't expect anyone to listen to their parents, God knows I didn't, but if you can't say something nice, keep quiet.

I watched that briefing, and the same thing can be said of many questions the reporters ask.
I'm still going to stand by my "there are no stupid questions". I've seen stupid people ask questions however, and there's a subtle difference.

Seen from France (or elsewhere), it is obvious that the Trump and Bolsonaro are great destroyers of the environment and biodiversity. Just as the Nuremberg Tribunal to try crimes of genocide was created, a new international tribunal should be established to try crimes of ecocides where these two demagogic leaders would be the first accused!
That said, it is better, in an entomological forum, not to deal too much with questions of politics and religion!

I am no Trump fan. However, the man knows how to make money, and lots of it. He also has a great taste in women. And I would bet some serious coins, she goes to bed "Naked" every night.
I will bet some serious coin He gets re-elected, and by a very large margin.
Bill Clinton climbs into bed with Hillary every night. Bill must take matters into his own hands.
And if the Democraps put forth Biden as the challenger, it will be four more years of "The Donald".
Now think about this. What if Melania would run for President in 2024?
I do not argue about politics. I am not a Republicon, nor a Dumbocrat. I just a good old Lepidopterist with an incredible sense of humor.
And I am having lunch with my lady friend today.

Melania was not born in the USA, so she cannot run for President.
Enjoy your lunch!
Adam.

Just imagine if Melania could run for President. You must admit, the Donald has an excellent taste of women. Then take look at what Bill Clinton is married too.....
I hear all the criticism of Trump. Regardless of what the Donald does. He has Melania. And Bill Clinton still goes to bed with Hillary or alone on the Sofa. And Billy Boy must take matters into his own hands.
Having said all of that. I have a lunch date.

The idea of Melania running for president does have legs... pun intended. I suppose it is best that only persons born in the country can be president, although we did miss having a Presidentator with Arnold, but politics is a dirty game, even Clint Eastwood stopped at mayor of Carmel, although I remember reading something about him crushing someone's car that parked in his Mayor's parking spot, you gotta like that. If you think about it, what would be the real difference if we voted based on "other things" rather than what the candidate claimed they were going to accomplish for the people. Probably not a lot.

John, Actually, it’s only a handful of those goons who put people down as I see it. It happens in my Discus forum and others as well. Today’s world is leaning towards being inconsiderate more often than not. Try a political forum if you want to see this big time. I really think that many of these people are actually insecure and must be rude, mean, or condescending to make their points so as to boost their image.......which is really a pseudo boost of their image imho. Our current leader is the king of such tendencies.......oh oh, now I’ve done it. Surely I’ll be bashed for that last statement, but it’s true nevertheless no matter one's political stance. Hi Bill. I have had some experience with this kind of actions on bug guide before. Funny thing was that it wasn't the admins or the founder. It was enthusiasts. I just ignore it now as I have many other things to worry about.

Well Leroy, at least you are admitting not to like one side. They are both garbage really, and it is a crying shame. Anyhow, I hope you have been doing well with all the madness in the world, and doing a lot of collecting. By the way, are Baltimore Checkerspots found in Ohio?

I found several larvae today. No adults on the wing yet. End of next week.
I had two Light Traps out last. Nothing new. I did get several more specimens of Paonias astylus.

I found several larvae today. No adults on the wing yet. End of next week. So, would you say these tend to be out by July? I know some of my local Euphydryas editha subspecies should be out soon. Anicia is out in the Sagebrush flats 2 hours north of here.
