I stopped commenting on the other alarmist nonsense thread on global warming or whatever it’s now called . As for David Attenborough; a British accent doesn’t make someone an expert on the natural world . His private helicopter flights surveying the damage have contributed more to emissions than a small city . Typical hypocrite. As for me I wouldn’t give a red cent . My donations go to veterans causes and protection of my constitutional rights . Stop and take a breath!

Each to their own. This series and also the above video does not exclusively talk about climate change. It also talk about plastic, pollution, farming and soil degradation, forest destruction, loss of habitats, etc. Problems that are all invariably connected. Just as important, above video especially talk about possible solutions to these problems. As the saying goes, if you are not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem. Being part of the solution and maybe even make a living from it on the way sounds pretty darn good to me. I do not think that David Attenborough has a private helicopter though..... maybe you got him confused with Tronald Dumb? Jan Nice insult . I never said it was his helicopter.Why do you bring President Trump into the discussion? What does he have to do with my opinions? Since you know seem to know everything I’ll assume you’ll realize these are rhetorical questions. |

Gaspipe. You should understand that Jan in sweden does not understand that impugning is often an insult in English. There is a language barrier [won't use a translator] and a eurocentric cultural one as well. Once you get that then you will understand Jan differently. Hence the cut and paste of videos of 16 year old girls like the eco killer and user of fossil fools [far more than most] Grindal Tonneborg (HARD FACT ask me for the details). Should instead be talking of the 16 year old Swede Boyan Slat who is actually helping without calling for government to do it for him instead.
I think I was able to squeeze 13 or 14 examples of impugning into this post to use for teaching purposes. I truly hope I did not touch any nerves. Waddayaknow.....15...
My students will enjoy searching for them.
Gotta get to bed as we have a long day recycling styro tomorrow.

Asking questions is a sign of intelligence. Assuming is not. Each time you assume incorrect meanings and do not ask just as you did at the beginning. You don't ask questions unless they are part of a straw man argument. I cut and pasted from a yahoo news article and checked Boyan Slats company website showing differently. I posted it anyway and anticipated you would continue with another Straw Man argument as well as not asking. The prediction is in the letters at the end of the post. Netflix falls under the same category. As does Youtube. Denying reality? I wonder who you mean as we have mostly agreed. You just called Boyan a distraction. I am sure you did not mean what the words you wrote mean. I hope not anyway. WOW! Pitiful is right........
I ave asked you many questions but you do not answer.
Oppps I almost forgot. I wrote to Gaspipe who is an American. I spoke to him differently as he understands nuances of North American lingo that Jan does not yet understand. Perhaps the language and cultural barrier is just to insurmountable. Too many confrontational cut and paste keyboard warriors and too little thought.

Ah. An excellent example of derision rather than actually doing something. I tried several times to discuss things we can actually do but you have yet to stop with the negative inferences. When you want to discuss the things you and I and we can DO let us know. Until then YOU are hurting the cause and the planet. I did fail in making an assumption. I assumed that you could be civil and have your own thoughts at your mature age. I was so very wrong. I apologize.

To disagree with climate alarmists means you’ll get shouted down. It’s the new world we live in. I’ve lived through 45 years of at least two impending ice ages , certain complete depletion of fossil fuels , destruction of the ozone layer that would cause either a rise in ocean levels or a new ice age(take your pick) , a solitary polar bear would be floating on a tiny iceberg in the middle of the ocean( since then their population has increased) and Al Gore giving me the time the earth would become uninhabitable on two separate occasions . Iam sure I’ve missed a bunch of others. . All these certainties from “scientists” who were beyond reproach. I believed them ; even wrote letters to politicians ; was a member of the Nature Conservancy; Sierra Club, National Audubon Society and National Wildlife Federation. During my years of blindly following their findings and believing all they said I came to realize their findings and “conclusions “ are a vain attempt to predict something that is impossible to predict . So forgive me I drank the Koolaid for 40 years and I’ve had my fill. No matter what I say you all have closed your minds to opposing views and opinions. Oh well , PS as I said in an earlier post I realize man has has influenced the earth for the worse but also for the better. At least Leptraps has a sense of humor but that just causes him to get shot down. Nothing new there. Well Leptraps; give em hell. |
