Hey John, You beat me to it!!! Wasn't it here the other day (i.e. on the new forum) I was gonna post my conspiracy about the flu vaccine - perhaps the authorities got wind of this and forced Clark to take it down before I posted ;D !!! Simon

The Backroom and Porchlight caused me a lot of grief in the past. Things are tough enough already. I don't need any grief right now. Maybe later when things smooth out. For now, let's stay on topic.

Okay - point taken! Both rooms DID cause a lot of arguments/grief between members in the past so probably a good call... Simon

I was on Facebook for awhile, but it became too much for me to keep up with so I canceled a year ago. But now it seems you HAVE to be on Facebook. I dunno...
I feel uncomortable with it. Too much sharing of information for my taste.

Ah, that explains why you never replied to my 'Friend' request! Facebook has been a boon to me, so many new friends across the world and so many great trades. Clark, you only have to give out as much information as you feel comfortable with, just look at teh 'privacy' section to see what you can hide. Dave

I think they improved the privacy aspect since then. But to be honest, I don't have time to do Facebook. I can barely keep up with InsectNet.

Hi Clark, Am I not seeing right... or is the Porchlight/nonentomological topic forum missing...why? John K. OK, things have settled down now, The Porch Light forum for off-topic discussion is back up. At least it is not on my server! I think everybody has learned by now about my philosophy on forum discussions. The purpose of such discussions is to enlighten and be enlightened. If you start insulting the other person or their beliefs then you are showing your lack of social skills, not to mention making a blight on InsectNet. If you get too nasty you will be [glow=red,2,300] ZAPPED[/glow] by the moderator, just like a fried bug in an electric bug zapper. We wouldn't want that now, would we? Good. So, go forth and put your best foot forward and demonstrate your skills in the art of discussion and debate.

Clark
If you want to avoid things getting too nasty and personal you could just ban religion and politics as topics.

I think the message was clear. Be civil and stay, be nasty and wake up on a pinning board.
