Although beautiful for the walls, personally prefer to keep a scientific collection of pinned specimens, with exact collecting data, pinned inside entomological boxes/drawers,so I wouldn't ever buy something like this for my collection, maybe only if I would like to make a gift to a girlfriend. Most of my specimens are collected by me,have full collecting datas and scientific/feeling value for me,but also all the others that I have bought, were papered or pinned/spread specimens with datas(and not in riker-mounts etc). But I respect the options of many other people who collect framed insects.I think these collectors would be happy with buying from this guy or others who make beautiful frames with insects.

You are right about the scientific value Thanos. As a gift to a girlfriend, fine. I think the items would also be good to help encourage children to pursue art and perhaps the desire to learn more about them.

I consider myself a serious 'scientific' collector, but I also have cases on my walls because I like them and they look pretty. Dave

Thanos Just in case you didn`t get it Thanos, nobody asked your opinion on the topic here. It`s an add from someone that is supported by Clark and any reply written on here that differs from supportive opinion to this guy`s business is highly rude. It`s like standing in front of an apple store and shouting at all people that you want to compose the parts of your personnal computer just by yourself and that apple franchise would be crap in your eyes. I wouldn`t mind if Clark would clean up the add now and delete every post after wingedwishes one, including this one.

In case you didn't get it nomihoudai, I'm not busy anymore with your nonsense . I didn't offend Ben,Clark or someone else with my above post, but just told my opinion respectfully,as for example Dave did after me. If in this thread were not asked opinions, then it had to be put as an ad only, also with Clark's recommendations, but not as a thread. Thanos

Was it really necessary to start a post with a rant about the scientific value of specimen with/without data ? I mean read the post again in detail, you have 6 lines of self-agrandissement in comparison of 2 lines that feel like superficient as the 6 lines before gave a clear view of what he thinks.

Yeah he did go off subject I agree but if you look at all the other threads, most tend to do that. nomihoudai you too are right, and no not so 'respectful' however we're all nuts! we collect bugs for kicks, give the guy a break.
and as far as the butterfly guys site, well its good and quite arty good for modern decor, nothing for the specialist and us bug geeks tho ;D

I have no interest in the sort of product that this trader sells but I know that many other people have. Therefore I have no reason to make a comment and I keep my views to myself. It's a shame other people can't do the same.
If you have an opinion on this guy's products them I'm sure that people would like to know about them. If not and you only want to talk about what you do - use another thread or keep quiet.

How on earth could that be interpreted as a comment on his products and what possible relevance could my age have? Do you really have no idea how to conduct yourself?
