Hello, I'm Marcel from the Netherlands, I'm 44 years old, in my teenage years I collected mainly Dutch butterflies untill I got other interests. Since a few years I started collecting European butterflies again. I do own my own shop where I sell coins and banknotes to collectors, I have always collected something... My other passion is playing guitar.

Hello Members!
I’m a Texan who is an avid rhino beetle enthusiast. I am devouring as much knowledge and experience as possible. I am really in the search of someone who may have Dynastes tityus or granti larvae.
Please let me know! I look forward to communicating with you and sharing experiences on US scarabs.
Best, Rique

Hello!
My name is Marta and me and my husband Mark love to make pictures of animals and plants we see in our trips. I like to find the species names for them and since I am no expert I would appreciate your help for insects that we have found in our recent trip to Lembeh, last year in May. Thanks in advance for your help, happy to be in this forum!

Hi, everyone! I love insects. All kinds of them. I do not have a ability to kill them (too compassionate), so I work exclusively on specimens found already dead (found in nature or cached on electrocuters in buildings). :-) Hope that participating on this forum can help me to correctly identify some species that are problematic.

Hi, I collect tropical butterflies and I am a biologist. I manage a butterfly house in Italy and there I am realizing a tropical butterfly museum. I often read Mr. Cotton, very serious and informed. Thank you for welcoming me.

You are a new member here, please tell us more about you and your insect passion. Hi, Happy to be here. I've been interested in lepidoptera for decades. I discovered them through Vladimir Nabokov's writings. I have a good collection of butterfly books but am interested now in learning more about the science of butterflies

Hello Jim Williams, and welcome! I hope that you do well in your collecting pursuits as you live in a prime area for butterflies and moths. I am in Reno, NV, which is not a bad area. I am also going to collect in earnest this coming year, especially in spring in my area.

Welcome Jesse! You are also in a prime area for collecting, as Rocky Mountain leps are coveted by many. There are a couple of members who are also in Colorado, so I am sure you can meet up, and collect this coming season. I am based in Reno, NV, so I am also in prime collecting country, and will take advantage this coming spring to collect a lot on my spare time. If you have any questions, don't be shy, and feel free to ask.

Welcome TigerHawk! Well, this is a good place to pick up pointers, or chat with anyone knowledgeable in the field of entomology, both in the professional, and amateur levels. I have been doing this hobby for around 25 years, and though I am still "young" at 38 years old, there are many with more wisdom on here, and I am also learning new things as I go along. If you have any questions, don't be shy, and ask.
