CK Swank & I had a good collecting trip this past weekend.
Moths: Sphingicampa heiligbrodti Eupackardia calleta Eumorpha vitis Manduca rustica Erinnyis obscura Erinnyis alope Lintneria istar
Butterflies: Kricogonia lyside Zerene cesonia Phoebis agarithe Battus philenor Agraulis vanillae Euptoieta claudia Danaus gilippus
Beetles: Megasoma vogti Pyrota palpalis several other blister beetle species several carabid species unidentified tiger beetle
Hymenoptera: Pepsis sp. Huge black bumblebee species

Tell me more about vogti- common, uncommon, time of flight, etc.

The best time to find M vogti is after a rain from late August to mid-October. They are attracted to MV lights. They are not common, but chances are fairly good that you can pick up a couple of specimens when conditions are right.
