I thought it would be a good idea to open this thread. Feel free to share your collections with me. If you're uncomfortable with showing your collection, that's alright. Its perfectly understandable. Photos aren't necessary, but are fun to have around nonetheless. I look forward to seeing what all of you have to share. Here is one of my collections containing moths collected from Malaysia. You're the military dude trying to get his collection back into the U.S. I don't really know how to help you... Customs are a real pain, nowadays. Can't blame 'em, though. Anyway, good luck. Awesome collection, by the way.

Imagine how many drawers you've probably got stacked up in your home... Those things ain't cheap. Congrats on the collection, buddy. Thanks for sharing.

I wouldn't call my pockets that deep, you just have to make the best out of your time for example :
I went to Italy with friends, 1 week of holiday 300 Euro ( 100 was for the beer, 100 for food, 100 for accomodation and fuel ) and it brang me 500 specimen at my light trap.
Or I went to Switzerland a weekend. 50€ for fuel, did only eat canned stuff for a few € and we slept in a tent in a cow paddoc for free, gave me another 300 specimen.
Or the specimen at 1:23, I got eggs from a friend of Calliteara horsfieldii for 10€, I fed them with my neighbours hedge ( went out at 23:00 to cut the leaves ;D ) and it brang me 50 new specimen, besides I sold the eggs of a few mated couples for 20€ again.
The drawers are used ones that I got for a very good price, just had to drive 1000 km to pick them up, currently I have 130 of them.

of course this is just a partial season's worth as this is the only time I take pix of my boxes. My boxes are rearranged too much to bother . I have MUCH fewer boxes to worry about because 99% of my stuff is self-collected American stuff. Colorado 09 East Coast

I can't do it. I have between 50,000 and 100,000 in my collectiom. Crambed into around 120 20X21" homemade cases. It would take someone all day just to come to my house and look at it. Besides, I'm too lazy to do all that photography, anyway. Jeff Prill

There's so many here, I don't think my collecting days are ever gonna end! I keep finding new things. I have to buy or order another drawer almost every month depending on the catch rates. Of course, that was in the early days. Not so much nowadays, but... I still find new things to collect.

I'm with Jeff I am afraid, I have over 400 drawers and dozens of storeboxes full. Way too many to photograph. If I get time I may photograph a select few. Nice to see others collections though. Dave
