Hi,I am looking for a more continuous supply of food for my praying mantises. I want to try and breed feeder crickets, I have kept breeder crickets for years and not had any success in getting the eggs to hatch. I am pretty sure it is because I don't give them enough heat. Can someone please point me in the right direction on getting feeder crickets to breed? Like what are the steps and necessary things they need? Thank you.

ok so what is your setup like? I was planning on putting the crickets in a large plastic critter cage and putting egg cartons inside for cover. Then i am not sure what to do with the material for eggs, I was maybe going to put a container in the cage with dirt or something like that. What do you do? Of course the dirt needs to stay moist so i will spray it with water, how would I know if eggs are in it though? and once there are eggs is it best to remove the small container with eggs and put it into a different cage? also how much water do crickets need? I always have problems with this, i either give them too much or too little. What is the best way to give crickets the right amount of water? I don't like putting a shallow dish with water because i am afraid they will drown. Thanks for any help.
