Question here, How would one mount an insect in an artistic display? I know it can be done without a pin through the thorax with a riker-mount board. Can it be done with a pin through the the thorax (not on a riker-mount board), Is that ever done? Thanks. Attachments:

Yeah, why should a piece of wood, plastic and glass cost so much? Low demand I suppose.
I don't understand though, what's the glue for if you use pins?

The glue is to keep the butterfly from rotating, you never know what might happen to it when not glued and it is a pain in the ass to reopen a sealed shadow frame again. Furthermore it costs $$ and you won't have much left after a repair.
