Just got back from a family vacation in Florida. Aside from beach going and swimming, my kids and I caught a lot of insects including the following; Pipevine Swallowtail Battus philenor Polydamus Swallowtail B.. polydamus Palamedes Swallowtail Papilio polamedes Checkered White Pontia protodice Great Southern White Ascia monuste Little Yelow Eurema lisa Barred Yellow E. daira Orange barred Sulphur Phoebis philea Cassius Blue Brephidium isophthalma Zebra Longwing Heliconius charithonia Gulf Fritillary Agraulis vanillae Mangrove Buckeye Junonia evarete White Peacock Anartia fatima Ruddy Daggerrwing Marpessia petreus (saw but did not catch) Hackberry Emperor Asterocampa celtis Queen Danaus gilippus Dorantes Longtail Urbanus dorantes Checkered Skipper Pyrgus communis Black Witch Moth Ascalpha odorata Dragonflies: Scarlet Skimmer Croothemis servilia Needham' s Skimmer Libellula needhami Golden-winged Skimmer L. auripennis Bar-winged Skimmer L. axilena Halloween Pennant Celithemis eponina Four-spotted Pennant Brachymesia gravida Band-winged Dragonlet Erythrodiplax umbrata Seaside Dragonlet E. berenice Eastern Amberwing Perthemis tenera Eastern Pondhawk Erythemis simplicicollis Blue Dasher Pachydiplax longipennis 3 other species of dragonflies yet to be identified
American Bird Grasshopper Schistocerca americana Eastern Lubber Grasshopper Romalea microptera
a few robber flies 3 species of midas flies including Mydas clavatus
and a few other misc items
Overall one of our better bug catching vacations
