Dear Gentlemen,
Parnassius apollo sicinius Fruhstorfer, 1921 should be treated as the synonym of Parnassius apollo albus Rebel & Rogenhofer, 1892. Fruhstorfer mentioned “Teschen/Nordmähren“ as the type locality in the original description in Societas Entomologica. “Teschen” means probably Dorftteschen what is the German name for the village and chateau Destne (Deštné) in Northern Moravia. This place is located near Opava. However, there are more places called Destne in the Czech Republic, but only that one is Dorftteschen = “Teschen” in German. I have studied old historical maps with captions in German and I am sure with this conclusion. The population around the mentioned type locality belongs surely to Parnassius apollo albus.
If you have spare hoglandicus specimens, contact me as well, please :-). I have sent you also a message regarding my interest in certain photographs, but I was not sure if the message system works here since I had some troubles at that time..
Yours sincerely, Ondrej

There was a typo in your sentence Radovan, I corrected it ! ;D ;DThats true, if somebody wants to make a fool out of himself, he describes a new ssp. not matter that is the same butterfly as from the locality 500m away.
