I caught some myself on Biak, a fantastic lep at flight ! Very large, very powerful.

The top far right specimen from Woodlark Is. was caught in 1915!

The top far right specimen from Woodlark Is. was caught in 1915! John Ah, that wiould explain why it's such a dark yellow. I've seen lots of other old specimens have yellow colours go much darker. Bob

I used to know a collector who only had a pair of the nominate as he insisted that there was very little difference between s.sp, quite clearly not the case. He had this view with all species and would not bother with sub.species. I only have nominate and Aru island at present. Right column, 3rd down is a very eye catching s.sp.
