Today, November 10, I went butterfly collecting, and found that, even though the flight period for butterflies here should be over, there are still many Colias eurytheme and Junonia coenia around . This is probably due to global warming, since a few years back there would have been frost by this point. Attached is a picture of a specimen caught today, I caught four others. I think it's because we're going to have a mild winter this year in Illinois. I am still seeing Catocala's this month, even though they are almost nothing but rags. Jeff Prill
