I just pulled this lovely Male Morpho Cypris off the pinning board, but it came with no identification and collection data anyone know if this is a subspecies, just by looking at it??? any help will be greatly appreciated beautiful and rare to get a ex pupae specimen of this specimen zac Attachments:

This one looks just like the nominate form from Columbia. I am no expert, but I think it would be safe to assume it is a nominotypical M. cypris, although it is the best one Iv'e seen yet! If I had to guess, it is most likely from Columbia, and an ex-pupae, from captive rearing. Anyway, I know this may not be of much help, that is why detailed data is of such importance. Now if only we could convince the suppliers to add as much data as possible.....Oh well, a guy can dream. Tom

thanks for your reply tom, it is indeed a fantastic specimen and i have never seen such a a morpho cypris as perfect as this one. it doesn't even have any scratches as you can see, i was surprised to get a specimen of this quality and was shocked to open it up and find it in this condition. i wish it had the data, but i know indeed that it come from columbia
