I heard in the news there is a bill in the works to increase the western boundary of Yosemite National Park in California. This means public and private lands in Mariposa County closest to the parks western border will soon be off limits to insect collectors, game hunters or other collecting of things in the environment if the bill gos through. This bill is in the very early stages of approval so it could be a few years or so be for bill is approved. So If you know of any favorite collecting spots along the parks western boundary you better make the most of them while you can.
