Nice. Such habitats are usual here, -we have a lot of beautiful mountains here. Species like A. crataegi and P. mnemosyne are common here. From our 235 species of Rhopalocera many are rare and hard to find and fly at really paradise habitats, where I enjoy collecting each summer .. ! Thanos

Hehehe...I collected both A. apollinus and Z. cerisy (female there is of beautiful ochre form) on Samos in late March of 2004. Both species were fairly common. I will be on Rhodopi soon... ! I hope to find all the species that interest me there again. For me, this is really the best and most pleasant collecting trip : many good species and a huge paradise almost totally virgin forest..! Btw, did Athanasios K. catch new females of L. populi, or he still has only that single which was fallen down to the forest road by rain ? . Jean-Marc, you have to collect there..! I'm sure it will be an unforgetable experience for you ! Btw, did you see Ypthima asterope on Symi or Hipparchia christenseni on Karpathos ? Ok, I must stop writting now and prepare myself to go to check at a habitat close to my home for Muschampia tessellum, Satyrium w-album, etc . Thanos
