These were collected in a Light Trap in Perry County, IN on 16 May 2012. They are a Heliothis species, but one I have never seen before. This is a very large Heliothis. The specimen above (Only partially visible) is a large Hepialid: Sthenopsis auratus. I have never collected a Heliothis species this far north in May. The location was in a power line cut with lots of prairie plants and heavy old forest on both sides. Attachments:

These aren't Schinia?? Something like Schinia spinosae...

These are a Heliothis species. And, they are the largest Heliothinae I have ever seen. Look and the hind wing and compare them to the Heliothis on MPG. I we re-post the specimens after they are set (30 Days).
