Out of a batch of recently hatched saturnia pavonia that came from the local moors here in Yorkshire some of the darkest males I have ever seen have come out of this batch, unfortunaltly most are still on the boards and I need to glue an antenna on this one due to being ham fisted but has anybody else had these dark forms, all of my previous hatchlings have been the normal colour. I got around a 50/50 ratio of dark and normal forms from this batch, much darker than all the vothers I have reared over the years.
