I would ask Clark to ban all adverts of any type that originate in Peru. The amount of scamming from there is equal to what is going on from Cameroon. The Peruvians have figured out that stealing is much more lucrative than selling legally. Until the Peruvian insect scene is cleared up, it would be nice to shut down their receiving any revenue for a few years.

Mike, I am not sure it is a good idea. We should only ban Peruvian scammers not all Peruvian ads.
The Cameroonian ban shows us that : - it does not at all improve the situation in Cameroon, - an honest Cameroonian who would like to start a business cannot find any consumer.
But it is true that for Peru like for Cameroon, the "never send money in advance" is the only way to avoid problems.

The problem is that no matter how many times people post about being scammed, people send money in advance every day. The new dealers in Africa that are honest are finding their way into the legitimate market. I have been buying many specimens from Africa over the past few years without any trouble whatsoever. The honest dealers know that they must contact people directly to make their offers and to receive revenue. Peruvian dealers that are honest have been doing that to a lesser degree. Banning every advert from Peru would possibly help to get the honest guys to start reporting the "bad" guys to the authorities to hopefully shut them down. If you notice, hildebrando mentions that a bad dealer ratted him out to the authorities though hildebrando is in fact the person that was involved in the illegal shipping of specimens though he was charging buyers full price for permits and inspections to ship them legally. Look back at hildebrando's arrest records. He was illegally trading for many years before he was caught the last time. He uses the Canadians as an excuse to steal from others as he makes much more money that way. Since hildebrando has stolen from me, that now gives me the right to steal from other suppliers using his "logic."

Go ahead and list them here. I'd be interested.

You will have to go through the new and old forums and put that list together.
