Is that the empty chrysalis pinned under the male? (can't make it out fully)... Did you get this as a pupae?

Simon: I got this pair expupa from Bernard Turlin, he sent me the empty chrysalis from the male specimen.

Yes phorbanta is not rare in La Reunion in several spots. But protected by French laws nowadays.
Threaten by deforestation.
