LP < I personnally put his address in the "spam list" to avoid receiving so many emails from him. Anyway he is a forger, so I will never buy anything from him.

On my old email I had a simple but rude trick. Send him any swear word you know and he takes your name off the list Then I changed to a new emailadress and he again "stole" it fom the classifieds, now I get his emails again and I forward them immediately to my recycle bin.

I simply changed e-mails. He hasn't contacted me, since 2009. Jeff Prill

Somehow he got my email from this board (I never gave it to him) and he keeps sending beetles list every 3-4 days If you have ads in the Classifieds then your e-mail is exposed, but is is supposed to be hidden in the Forum. Get back to me if you find that your e-mail is public in the Forum. As far as I know it should not be. And BTW: the reason I have the posters' e-mail showing in the Classifieds is so that viewers can do a search on the e-mails. I could turn that feature off and hide all Classifieds e-mail, using instead a internal messaging system for replying to an ad. There are advantages and disadvantages. I'd like to hear member's further opinions on this.

That would stop spammers harvesting e-mail addresses automatically, while still enabling prospective buyers to reply directly or check up on the e-mail address for potential conmen. Adam.

I don't think the Classifieds would allow that because it is not a 'valid' input in that field. But it wouldn't hurt to try next time you post an ad. Let me know if it works.
