Khalid, find a nice patch of sand in the forest and then get your friends and you to take a pee there. Come back in an hour and you will see plenty!

Once you've been to Fraser's Hill, you'll see for yourself that there is a scarcity of butterflies, but LOADS of moths. All you see flying around in the day are diurnal moths! Not to mention moths on the walls around lights from the previous night just waiting to be collected...

thouse are all oriental moths, judging from the photos,i found that most sp. are same or quite similar from most Yunnan prov. of China.
oh you collected almost every moth, the same what i did,my colleagues(on beetles) asked me why collected "rubblish", i don't think is "rubblish",after taking them back home, then ask experts for ID which helps to recogonise the different moth families, genus, species. your 18 birthday was significant!

Indeed, it was! I expect to return there once again in March, April, and May 2012!

Mt. Tahan, I'm not too confident because its a National Park and the only way you can reach the place is by escort of the local rangers which would probably have you slaughtered if they found out you were collecting there. You can still try your luck if you're determined. Mt. Kedah on the other hand, I've never been there myself! So, I wouldn't know... ;D Hey, if you're coming to Malaysia, let me know. We can meet up and if its possible, I'll take you to Fraser's Hill for some top notch moth action! I'll get you a nice souvenir to bring home from Malaysia.
