It is now peak flight of Edward's Glassy Wing, Pseudohemihyalea edwardsii, here in central CA 10/18/2011. About 14 at the light last night! It is fun to hold these guys. They are so calm and easy to touch with out getting to upset. Their legs are quite Strong when they hold on and a bit difficult to get them to let go of the sheet. I did put an add up for specimens if any one wants any. Or you can just PM me.

We usually let them settle down on the sheet for a few minutes and then just pick them up with our hands and drop them in the kill jar. Eaasy pickens!

Wow, 100 in Two hours!!! Sounds like they like southern California better. Yes they are very easy pickings in the moning when I check the sheet. I love their bright red abdomens.
