Had an interesting walk a couple of weeks ago. I saw many Anartia jatrophe which seem to be most common this time of year. Along a river bank the population density was 1 per 36 square feet. The Phoebis species (philea I think) usually fly higher but stayed within reach throughout the day. I did not see a single Danaus plexippus but saw many Limenitis archippus. Can't leave out the reptiles..... Attachments:
