Hi people, I have some Pseudochazara orestes from Phalakron Massiv, Greece but I cannot find the location on Google Earth to understand better the place from where these specimens come. I'm 100% sure that this place exists. Can anyone from Greece please help me? Coordinates should suffice. Thanks Jonathan

Yes,Phalakron is a mountain of N.Greece (north of the city of Drama),next to Rhodopi mountain. There exist some great species -I've collected there many times (but only once I found a good population of Pseudochazara orestes).

while we are on the subject of Greece, does anybody know how widespread the taygetos blue polyommatus menelaos is in Greece?

P.menelaos occurs ONLY on Taygetos Mt. and nowhere else. This can be explained by the fact that its larval foodplant (Astragalus taygeteus) is,too, endemic only to Taygetos. P.menelaos is common there(the males in june),just it needs altitude (above 1300 meters and up to +2000 meters). Females are quite harder to find, but you can get them if you go there in july).
