have you ever collected in Nepal? and what places in Nepal are good for collecting? how about their customs that forbidden to take insects away or it is a crim and will have jail life? i may go to Nepal next summer from Tibet. if it is a big problem to collect,i will just simplly take it a s a traveling,as one of the collecting places of Tibet,a town is neighboured with Nepal,if i go there but do not go to Nepal it would be a big pity. does the people there speak english? normally, the collecting places are romote, only or mostly are local people. so living in their house is interesting. overseas collecting for the unexperienced collectors like me is a problem and need to break the ice.

Collecting in Bhutan is "impossible". I have friends that went there, they had to bribe high ranked persons there to not get in trouble. The main problem there is the religion. I don't know if they would be ok to kill a beetle but it was impossible to kill any butterfly, only when they were hidden and could not be seen by the guides. They were only allowed to catch moths and the guides did not want to help them. Also the "scietific road" will not bring you further, my friends work for a major European Museum and din't get the necessary official papers as they do not exist.

tibetens are similar too. because of religion, they do not kill. i was forbidden once when i was cathching butterflies on grassland by net in highland(about 4000metrs),some them do not speak chinese but their own language ,he angrilly said "Hey!!Hey!!..." i knew he wanted me to stop then i stoped and went away.
