here's a brand before you go to a certain place. i heard japanese went to Tibet last year and attempted to go up into the forest (to collected insects) but was refused by the native foresty bureau officers. ;D Attachments:

a hunter i emploied who went with me as a guide up into the forest. but unfortuneally i really really did not found lucanidae there in day collecting. however that was just one of the places of Tibet i went. ;D Attachments:

Phromia blossoming tree. indeed,Phromia is the most stupid insect that i ever knewn by now. even if they were frightened and fly away,but they will fly back and having rest again on the branchs. then you can catch them again. i saw only two trees that full with Phromia, very magic. ;D Attachments:

a flat carpenterworm, please share your experience of preserving living carpenterworm/larvas when field work. how to preserve? alcohol seems does not work well. please attach picture if you have,the methods you use. Attachments:

shame yes,for chinese people,to access some special areas,like:frontier area requires a special permission paper. of course thouse places are impossible for foreigners to access.the situation in china in different places are very complex. before going,one should learn. it is my BIG pleasure to share my insects trips with everyone here ok,let me go on.

i found this guy resting on the bush,later time i was told it was Eupatorus gracilicornis smaller horn . but i thought it was a Eupatorus sp. becuase he has three small horns only. Attachments:

full with my boold. i set light trap and walk back and forth from the house i live in,very short distance,at night the fog was thick then the leechs came out. the pigs every night screeched because leechs always kiss them. Attachments:

the two light traps i set. the lamps are low watt,130watt each one. i should have prepared several much larger watt lamps that works better. the altivation there is about 2200meters. this place is an abandoned barrack. Attachments:

if careless, i will have to full down to the river and go to India. this river go to India. there were 4 travelers in total for the past several years missed in this path. nobody know what happened. probably was now in indian ocean. Attachments:
