What katydid (Tettigoniidae) is this?

I'm assuming this is some kind of katydid. I could be wrong though, but I'm pretty sure it's definitely an Orthopteran.

Photo was taken in New Caledonia.

Some of us are thinking that that is not a towering pronotum but rather a wing stuck in that position with its end shriveled due to a bad molt.

Yes a deformed wing , a bit dry down the beach for an instar change .
