In the form of a video buy anshul fernando I was made aware these moths are not reared but taken from the wild. At the moment the only person trying to rear the white which is pedramariposa. He is fantastic Filmer of butterflies on YouTube. He trayed many trees and has had many larvae die in his attempt- so sad! He was able to make rare video of a fresh hatched caterpillar crawling very fast across a paper towel. From Anshul I learned about the White Which Moth Watch Organization that is trying to save this incredible moth. I hope more people in south America will try rearing it. Suspect host is cassia or senna, might be the host because the Black Which feeds on it.

I cannot imagine that species being in any particular need of conservation help. It is a widespread species ranging from southern Mexico on through to Brazil (at least); maybe further into Bolivia or southern Peru possibly...
The food plant is supposedly unknown although (as you mentioned) it is possible the food plant which the Black Witch feeds on may be suitable as well.
Males are encountered more often than females but, they seem to always be a staple at all of the European fairs and even on the internet.
Interesting, that there is a organization dedicated to their well being.

Thysania agrippina does not need protection nor any other insect, Habitat does, if the habitat is there and it’s healthy so will be the insects.
