There seems to be editing going on and several members are upset. Some of it involves crital opinioms of government .
Do any members of the Board work for any government agency that might involve insects ?

Moderators are here in place for "civility" on the forum. We are tasked by the owner (Olivier) of the forum to follow 3 basic rules of decency for ALL.
No politics, No religion, and No insults.
Proboards has its own expectations which the forum must adhere to or it won't exist.
This has been repeated (time and again) by Olivier and here I am repeating it again...
This forum is dedicated to the passion of insect discussions and the science of entomology in general.
The bottom line is that everyone can enjoy their time here if they stay focused on their insect related thoughts (that they post). Ours is a worldwide audience so people have to show "tact" in everything they write.
If these basic rules are followed and a general RESPECT for everyone is adhered to then no one should ever have any personal gripes.

None of them do. One of them works (worked?) for a global charitable agency, but I don't see a conflict there.
Yes some posts have been edited and it would have been nicer if it would have been done by a >[deleted by mod]< block. On the other hand it would have been even nicer if people would keep the tone civil or stay on topic.
Can we get back to insects now?

Only few insults and political comments have been edited... Don’t worry Tom.
Yes Claude, it would be better to indicate that, when a post is edited.
