I just created an account on here so I'm not entirely sure how to use this. I have a drawing of the bug I wish to identify, but am not sure how to post images. Anyways, the bug had a very long "tail" and a thin "waist". Its abdomen was a bright red color. It had long antennae which it wiggled (vibrated?) around a lot. Its thorax and head were black and its eyes were large, circle shaped and close together. It was also a flying bug! and it would vibrate its wings against its abdomen, as well as wiggle its "tail." The bug reminded me of a thin-waisted wasp ... but I'm not entirely sure if it was one ?

OKAY! Well I think I may have identified it. I believe the bug I saw was indeed a wasp and was the White-footed Cryptus Wasp or the Cryptus albitarsis . . . There doesn't seem to be much info about these bugs.
