Do purchased specimens usually have the collection data included? if so, How much? I've never purchased any specimens before, but have been thinking of doing so. But, my collection is mostly scientific, so I would like as much data on the specimens as possible. Any input?

Depends on the seller. I would go ahead and ask them if they don't provide that information with the listing. The big sellers have specimen from many sources and the quality of data can vary. Showy species usually come with little data, but there is no scientific interest in them anyways.
The best suggestion probably is to trade with local collectors that provide good data.

Some "big sellers" who provide almost no data at all. One seems to re-paper his specimens and just puts country and year on the new envelopes, useless! No names will be mentioned, as I don't know if that's always the case with this individual, and things may have changed since I last bought from them a number of years ago.
Other sellers provide data, but often they are dependent on the local suppliers. For instance most Indonesian butterflies have only the island name with month and year, no detailed locality. There is one supplier in Indonesia who usually has more detailed data, Chris Nock.
