Please help identify this bug

I felt it crawling on me at 5am. Squished it in the dark so doubt get a chance to photo alive.
You can zoom in to see details.
Is it a bedbug? It's too big to be a flea and did not jump. My cat sleep with me sometime and he does go outside.

looks a lot like a flea. I'm sure there are different species of fleas, not just the little black ones we're used to. It seems to have legs made
for jumping.
