I know well Mr Frantz (M. De Palma colleague), and I konw that he has a very very large experience with Goliathini. His opinion and the Michele one's are more important for me than your's.
Do what you want when you sell beetles and in your own collection, but let scientifics doing their job. Italic, good spelling of genus, species and subspecies are considered by real entomologists as important things.
Author's are free to decide the spelling of the genus and species they describe. If you want to describe Cetonia rhynnocerraus Thanos, 2012, you can do it !

This beetle has been importated in many countries with Eucalyptus species. It is a real problem in Spain and South France, for example...
