I keep buying this one from various dealers and must have spread 10 of them bought as "A1" Always the same problem, like the top layer of scales are missing from the wings.This is actually one of the least worse ones  |

you are right, I have dozens of it and none is perfect A1. May be the scales are not so weel anchored and / or the fly in the net to hard.

Are these any better? The dark colour form, top right, is in fact slightly rubbed showing a vague finger print. Many others I have are as you describe, especially females.

yeah these are pretty good , especially the bottom left one. The color is solid and no scratches
but my impression setting them is that the scales rub off very easily on this species and it might be harder to get a good one
