Need some help identifying wasp-like insects in NJ

Hello all, 

I am trying to identify the wasp-like insects that are burrowing near my window to see if they are actually wasps and to see if I need to call an exterminator. i am currently located in central NJ. Here is a picture of the bug:

I'm gunna go with queen ants.

If this is carpenter ant queen then you will be in trouble, but I am not ant specialist to confirm.
