A number of years ago I purchased the specimen and container shown in the picture. Can anyone tell me where to find a supplier of containers like the one pictured. It measures 4"x4"2" and is made of Styrofoam. Any help appreciated and Happy New Year to all.

Greetings,
Here in the U.S., I see these used all the time to pack nightcrawlers in as bait for fisherman. Not sure who makes them, but check with a local bait store to see if you can get a lead on the source. They come in both white and blue styrofoam...
Cheers! Bandrow

Google Styrofoam Boxes with lids.
Take your pick.

Nothing on Google or Ebay sends me to a Styrofoam box this small. This size is perfect for mailing an individual butterfly as pictured. I will check with bait shops in my area, but usually I see paper Chinese Take-out boxes. Still looking for help...I'll resize the photo also

Greetings,
You're right about the bait containers - they come in quite a variety - paper boxes, plastic 'deli' cups, etc. The trick if you find the styrofoam kind will be getting to the source of the container, as they usually come to the bait shop from a bait supplier already packed.
If I happen to run into these anywhere, I'll see what I can find out for you...
Happy New Year! Bandrow

I think they are the same box but measured differently.

No; those are the outside dimensions. But to be more exact the outside measurements are 4.125 inches square by 2 inches deep. It could also be metric in which case it would be 10.5cm x 10.5 cm x 5 cm
Still can't locate a source for this size. I wish I could remember who I bought butterfly from. It was improperly labeled Thyridia themisto female
