I have a couple hundred cecropia cats in 2nd and 3rd instar in a container indoors with the lid a crack open. Today I found this wasp in with them. Can it parasite them? I sure hope not but he was in their container. If so, what should I do? Please let me know. Thanks, Tim

I would say almost certainly yes, it's a parasitic wasp.
As for "what should I do", to be honest there is nothing you can do for any larvae which have already been parasitised. Keep all the pupae in a sealed cage and when wasps hatch from them you can ensure they do not escape.
I suspect that if you cut the cocoons open you may be able to spot parasitised pupae once the wasp is nearly ready to emerge, but I'm not sure. Certainly I can spot parasitised Papilio pupae and destroy them before the wasps emerge.
Adam.
