I set out a number of bait traps at several locations in the Daniel Boone NF on 24 September, I checked them almost every day and collected several hundred Catocala moths. Lots of the Black Hind wing: C. Vidua was the most common. I took 6 very fresh C. robinsoni, including 2 females, and lots of C' insolabilis (somewhat worn), C. dejecta and a couple of C. maestosa. The weather has been very dry and the night in the low 60's. However, this morning I went to check my traps and they were full of moths, just more of the same.
I began thinking, I collect a Catocala marmorata once in a Blue Moon. I guess that a Red Moon has no effect on rare Catocala moths. There is a "Blue Moon" beer. Maybe I should try that for Catocala marmorata.

Had the same luck in southern IL last weekend as well - nothing all that notable and no marmorata. Not too surprising, but the weather was great!
