Over the years of setting dried and papered butterflies I have noticed:
1) Papered specimens where the abdomen is protruding from the anal fold of the wings never have leaks or stains on the wings

2)If you get a specimen where the abdomen is inside the anal fold completely, there is a chance it leaked and will cause a stain. But I think leaking happens only shortly after death and not during re-hydration, so whatever fluid has leaked will likely be a dried substance that may not have yet stained the wing. I recommend placing a absorbant paper wedge in between the wing and abdomen to absorb it as it will liquefy when you re-hydrate the butterfly. You may still have a small stain, but not a huge spreading one

That is a very good idea, papered Delias seem prone to this kind of staining.
