He's the owner of Forest Insects and has previously been banned from this site because of bad trading. I've not dealt with him because I've heeded the warnings.

If you clearly state that you won't pay a penny without receiving the package first (even if you can provide good references) he will never get back to you.
The ideal supplier will send first without any questions and you pay after. These worth their weight in gold.

Stay away if you don't want to lose your money. I know a few persons who have been scammed by this man. Without sending in advance, avoid at all costs.

For exporatcion from peru can only work with CITES permits otherwise not miss peru packages passing through customs and this can have a very large fine CITES is important for my country

I remember looking at his website when he was an advertiser. Just felt something was wrong. I've never had a "feeling" about a seller before or after. After several complaints about bad deals, Clarke pulled the ads and banner. I do not remember a positive comment regarding this seller. I do recall some new members complaining to Clarke about being scammed and questioning the validity of InsectNet for allowing their ads. I'd say, due to past history, a few trusted members receive orders without payment up front to check his veracity. Your web site though. I do like the changes I am seeing.

Thanks for your words wingedwishes  Except if several trustable insectnet members tell me that Damaso is honest, I won't accept him as insectnet advertiser. You can't imagine how many scams I block everyday in the Classifieds (before publication). Even a Thai guy who wanted to sell some elephant tusks... |

Well, this person, and situation, is kind of interesting. He has been offering me material for quite some time and trying to solicit my business away from my regular suppliers. He even promised to send material in advance just to get my business. Eventually we settled on him sending a small order for the first time so I could see the quality of the material. With that promise, he sent an email listing all the dealers who trust him and pay him up front, and the amounts that some of them forward to him.(I guess he exaggerates, or has no respect for others privacy) Having been in this business for a very long time, I of course knew all the names and reputations of the dealers on his list. Interesting, because many of them are well known questionable characters, who are well known to most followers of Insectnet. Probably there maybe one or two who actually got their material from him after they pay up front, and if so that is nice. He obviously did not want my business bad enough, as he failed to live up to his promise to send the agreed upon material. Makes me wonder what would have happened if I sent him the payment first. Enough said about him.

I have just declined again his will to be among Insectnet advertisers.
I have received some nice Agrias from them, but I know that they will scam some people, especially those who send money upfront.
Never do this with Peruvian, Papuan/Solomon or African sellers.
They could be so rich working professionally ... what a pity...
